Dyer County Deputy Saves Child

A Dyer County Sheriff’s deputy, assigned to a middle school in the wake of the Connecticut school shooting, has helped save a student’s life when the boy went into cardiac arrest. The State Gazette reported Nolan Gregory, a student at Northview Middle School, had been diagnosed with a heart condition in March. On Tuesday, Nolan’s heart stopped at school. Christi Gregory said sheriff’s Sgt. Heath Walker and Principal Tony Jones performed CPR on her son and school nurse Denise Bargery used an automated external defibrillator to restart his heart.
