Richard Alan Hatchel, 40, of Drummonds has been charged with one count of premeditated first-degree murder and one count of reckless endangerment in the death of his wife, Shannon Hatchel, 32. Tipton County Sheriff’s officials say Hatchel shot his wife on Friday after an argument while a 5-year-old child was in the house as well. Richard Hatchel is jailed without bond and scheduled for arraignment today.
