A Lauderdale County man has been arrested and after being indicted by the Crockett County grand jury in the October shooting death of Matthew McKnight, 40, of Bells. McKnight was found dead in his home on Gum Flat Road at the time. Antonio Toomes, 29, of Ripley is indicted on on one count of first-degree felony murder, one count of especially aggravated robbery and one count of especially aggravated burglary in the case.
